Mama Elephant | Three Amigos

Hello there! I'm back sharing more cards! I've set myself a challenge to try and get using my stamps. I have so many stamp sets that are still unused in my stash because I don't get the time to use them and I want to change that! I bought them because I loved them so they deserve a bit of love.

This Mama Elephant set is a perfect example, I was so excited to get my hands on this set because I loved the concept and the critters but I never found time to get it used.

I cut out the white panels using the Mama Elephant Femme Frames and stamped my critters in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then picked a couple of funny sentiments and stamped those on the paper in the critters hands.

This one (above) is my favourite as I coloured them in to look like me and my boyfriend and gave it to my mum for her birthday. She thought it was really funny!

I coloured the images in using my Tim Holtz Distress Markers and a water brush. The patterened paper background was cut out using Mama Elephant Femme Frames again and adhered to a blank card base.

Quite simple cards but so fun to make!

Thanks for stopping by!

p.s. I've started using inlinks so that it is easier for you to see what products that I use. Enjoy!

Captain America - Have a Super Birthday

Hello there! It's been a while since I shared a card with you and I went a card making binge so I have a few new ones to share.

The first one was inspired by a trip to the cinema to see Captain America: Civil War. I took my circle dies and cut out some circles in red, white and blue card and layered them together with a white star to create Captain's shield.

I then used Avery Elle - Elle's Alphas stamps, Clearly Besotted Mini Basic Banners stamps and my new Lawn Fawn Dye Ink in lobster to create the sentiments.

I cut out the banner with the coordinating die and then used Clearly Besotted Tag Along die collection to create the rounded banners.

These cards would be perfect for any Marvel fan and are so quick to make.

Hope you enjoyed this card and I will be back soon with some more!

Thanks,
Hayley :)

p.s. I recently joined inlinkz so that I can easily list all the products that I used on each post. We'll see how I get on!

How I Store... Wood Veneer

Hello there and welcome!

Wood Veneer are an embellishment I like to use quite often in my scrapbooking and Project Life and so today I wanted to show you how I store them. My collection has grown quite a lot and I found a perfect storage box for them in Home Bargains (you could probably find containers like this in many places - I've also seen them in Hobbycraft). I think this container was only around £1.50 and it's brilliant!

The best thing is the repositionable dividers. Each column has 3 sections and 2 dividers that can be left in or taken out to change the size of the space. It worked out perfectly for the amount of wood veneer that I had and even allowed me to keep the large wood veneer words in there too.

This container would also be great for organising any there small embellishments that you may have in your stash. I find I'm using my wood veneer a lot more now that they are stored this way because they are so much more accessible.

The only bit of packaging I kept was the back of the packet of words so I could easily see what words I have. To keep track of them I've been crossing them off when I've used each word so I know what I have left.

Let me know in the comments if you have any cool storage tips!

Thanks,
Hayley
